Change to Product Bulletin No. 1 2002 3 October, 2002
Subject: Serialization, new emergency valve and new nose block device on all new Miller Diving® 400 Helmets
Products Affected: Miller Diving® 400 Helmets
Miller Diving® helmets manufactured after October 1, 2002 will reflect the following updates.
1. All Miller Diving® 400 helmets produced after Oct. 1, 2002 will be serial numbered. This number can be found stamped into the helmet shell on the side block mounting area, behind the side block (see picture).
Miller Diving® has a procedure for issuing serial numbers to Miller Diving® Helmets manufactured before October 1, 2002. This procedure is for owners of Miller Diving® Helmets who want to be able to easily identify their helmets.
2. All Miller Diving® 400 helmets will be equipped with a new Miller Diving® Emergency valve assembly, Part # 905-348.
3. All Miller Diving® 400 helmets will ship with a stainless steel nose block device, Part # 545-015, and new knob, # 550-249 which replace the older brass versions. This Nose Block Device requires the Nose Block Device Knob due to the threads on the ends of the two shafts being different. The original Miller Diving® Nose Block Knob (P/N 400-79) cannot be used with the new, P/N 545-015 Nose Block Device.
The new emergency valve and nose block device & knob will retrofit to all previous Miller Diving® 400 helmets.
